Group 40: Optical Laser Guidance System

Project: 
An optical laser guidance system which allows the Hyperloop pod vehicle to accurately display its linear position in the tube. The system will consist of lasers reflecting off of metal and optical taping onto a photodiode array. The reflected signal read by the photodiodes will then be translated into a control circuit which will be programmed with a protocol which recognizes when a certain distance is reached. Once a specific distance is reached, the controller will initiate the braking systems for the pod which will slow it down as it reaches the end of the tube/track
