Description:

Amongst other surgical items, surgical sponges are often left behind by medical practitioners while operating on a patient’s body. Methods like barcoding the sponges, manually tallying the total number while using them and ending the surgery have been used in the past. Unfortunately, these methods don’t ensure a full proof method. Our aim is to attach small pieces of magnets to each sponge and detect if any are left behind
