Our idea is an attachable, early-collision detection system for vehicles that currently lack this kind of technology. It will use a sensor in the front of the vehicle (LIDAR, RF, etc.) to detect distance and speed between cars and a gyroscope will assist with detection during turning and changing lanes. The main draw of our project is the ability to retrofit it with older cars in a user-friendly way.
