Project: Astronics has partnered with FANUC Robotics and will be using the LR Mate 200iD, a robotic arm controlled by 6 axis providing X, Y, Z , yaw, pitch, and roll movement. It can be mounted with various end effectors that will manipulate an object.

This project started in the Fall quarter and is being continued in the Winter quarter. It is open to all students in the School of Engineering and Information and Computer Sciences (ICS) with coding skills in Visual Studio and experience in robot programming and control. It is a cross disciplinary topic for senior projects in EECS and CSE.

Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop test program for Automated Single Slot Tester
- Program Robot Movements
Skills:
- Experience with Robot Programming (FANUC Robots Preferred)
- Proficient in C#

Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design electrical diagram for the system
- Wire together electronics for system
Skills:
- Proficient with Electrical Diagram Software
- Experience with electrical actuators and sensors
- Ability to solder electrical components
