Introduction

This project came from an idea to locate movement in the real world for a toy turret to target. The idea then evolved into learning the features of an object and tracking it in real time with a camera, without the toy turret.

Executive Summary

Solar-Powered Water filtration System

We aim to create a portable, solar powered system that can be used to test the purity of water and has the capability to pump and filter it. The system will take note of the amount of contaminants in the water and will pump it through a filter into another chamber where it will be sanitized using UV light.

The data from the water purity sensor will be able be viewed on an LCD screen

These features may change as we proceed with building our prototype.

Dear Researcher,

UAV Forge - Avionics

This team is the Avionics branch of UAV Forge. As the Avionics we, we provide for all the hardware and software needs onboard the unmanned aircraft. This includes waypoint navigation, communication with the ground station, sensor installation, and local data processing. This year, UAV Forge will be based on the SUAS competition happening next summer in Maryland. Our goal will be to us onboard cameras and processors to detect certain patterns on the ground while the UAV is in flight. The inforamtion from the UAV should then be relayed back to the ground station and competition judges.
