projects that can move as controlled by the electronics, including vehicles, toy or real cars, wheelchairs, carts, quadcopters, bicycles, locks, and more
For students looking for projects in Spring 2018 or later, MAE 188 is looking for students to contribute to a smart home energy system, starting Spring 2018.
We are working on allowing MAE 188 to be an alternative way to fulfill the EECS 159B / CSE 181B requirement, although this has not been officially approved. In either case, it can be an interesting and cross disciplinary topic for senior projects in EECS and CSE.
If you have reached senior standing by spring quarter but have not taken EECS 159A / CSE 181A, you can take it in Spring 2017 instead of waiting until Fall 2017. The advantage is that you can either finish it in the summer or fall, whichever fits your schedule better. The course website is https://canvas.eee.uci.edu/courses/4631
My name is Diana Penalba and I’m a 4th year looking for a group to work with for the upcoming 2020-2021 Engineering Senior Design Class. I am a Computer Science and Engineering major. I'm proficient with C++, Python, and have some circuit/hardware knowledge from CS 145.
Currently looking for members from either CpE or EE majors to join in on our Senior Design Project for Fall 2020 (both of us are CSE). Expecting at least basic experience in C++ coding and some circuit/hardware knowledge (having taken CS-145/L helps a LOT but not mandatory).
My group is seeking a EE to assist with hardware prototyping and development for a blockchain based gaming platform that creates digital assets that is transferable. If you are interested, please contact me at cihaddad@uci.edu .
Project: Astronics has partnered with FANUC Robotics and will be using the LR Mate 200iD, a robotic arm controlled by 6 axis providing X, Y, Z , yaw, pitch, and roll movement. It can be mounted with various end effectors that will manipulate an object.
Ventus is a smart ventilation or climate control system that can control the thermostat and the temperature of each room by regulating airflow via the air conditioning vent. Each room can have its own desired temperature and is maintained using a machine learning algorithm. By leveraging the power of Google Firebase mobile platform, each smart vent can be controlled from anywhere in the world with an easy to use Android app.
The App-controlled electic skateboard project would allow the user to ride and control an electric skateboard through a mobile application. The app can control of the throttle, display speed/battery information, and track the skateboards gps location.
Project Goal: Develop codes in Visual Studio and control the movement of a 6-axis robotic arm.
