Goal Statement

  • Wiressly control an oven over long distances
  • Design a user-friendly app 
  • Send notifications and indicate the current temperature in the oven

Innovation

  • Oven with digital controls that can be changed remotely
  • Connectivity to the Internet 
  • Multiple user controllers, from smartphones, tablets, and manual control
  • Intuitive user interface

Design

  • Digital oven interface - utilizes oven capable of digitally monitoring temperature and time
  • Wireless Remote: connect to smartphone or tablet to the Internet via a Raspberry Pi
  • Software: controls oven temperature and timer using a Raspberry Pi, send notifications and reduce temperature
