Project Idea:

We will create a bottle retainer which will contain in its frame, a collection of electrical equipment, each component measuring the water usage of the bottle. The information recorded by each component will be recorded by a circuit board, also embedded within the retainer. The circuit board would also contain a IR transceiver, which would be able to communicate with various mobile devices via bluetooth or via ad-hoc network communication.

The purpose of this project is to measure daily drinking water usage and attempt to improve this usage by utilizing the measurements to remind users to keep drinking water throughout the day.

Users would be able to set goals and view drinking water usage history through an app that will also be provided.
