Project Idea:
Our project idea is a smart door. It is a door that is secured with fingerprint, facial, and voice recognition. It will feature a traditional key and lock mechanism as well. In case of failure, the user can request the smart door to send a QR code to his/her smartphone in order to unlock the door. An application will allow the user to select the desired locking mechanisms.

During our daily observation, we find out that the cleaning faculty staff need to spend a lot of time checking all trash bins that are separated broadly on campus and offices every day, which efficiency is very low. The design of trash bins are not smart enough as well and we find many points remain to be improved. This is our original inspiration of this project.
